Phil Couture began his financial career in 1971 and started financial planning in 1980, but the market’s collapse in 1987 made him realize that his clients’ needs went beyond a financial plan. Even more important was helping them build financial security through proper management of their assets.

Phil Couture and his team are dedicated to ensuring that the investment advice offered clients is both competent and free of conflicts of interest, and to serving clients with the highest level of integrity and professionalism. He believes in helping clients understand their choices through an objective overview of their alternatives to enable them to make sound decisions regarding the management of their assets.

He has served continuously in financial planning organizations since the early 1990s, including until 2019 as Treasurer for the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of the Suncoast (Sarasota-Manatee FPA). As Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Sarasota Chapter of the International Association of Financial Planners, Phil was responsible for the organization’s continuing education provided for local planners.

In addition to extensive professional studies, Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and has created and taught adult education classes, seminars and workshops. He served on the Financial Planning Advisory Board at Chapman College in Orange, California and has received numerous industry recognitions.

He has been a Certified Financial Planner™ since 1986 and was one of the earliest financial professionals to receive the designation.

More recently, Phil became a National Social Security Advisor Certificate Holder. NSSA® is the only ACCREDITED Social Security Certificate program in the nation!

M Lance Couture is Vice President of Operations and has been in the financial services industry since 1995, when he joined his father in Florida at his investment advisory firm. Together, they provide wealth management, insurance, and retirement planning services, helping clients achieve their long-term retirement and financial goals.

The home (and associated debt) often is such a large part of the household’s financial portfolio, that choosing the appropriate mortgage instrument(s) is very important. Accordingly, adding Mortgage Loan Originator/Officer to his shingle was an appropriate and natural step for Lance as he endeavors continually to enhance services available to clients.

Terry Best is our Office Manager. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science early in her career and has used that knowledge to build a sturdy foundation for her career. Terry has worked for First Union National Bank (presently Wells Fargo) obtaining the title of Assistant Vice President in Human Resources. Terry has traveled extensively as a Team Leader for Medic Systems where she was responsible for medical office system conversions, plus classroom and on-site training for physicians and office staff throughout the United States. We are proud to say that Terry has been a valued team member since 2008.
